PPG is a paint i used on sailplanes for years. Its a 2 part automotive / plane paint with a 40yr lifespan Gives a great finish and is very tough

Epoxy based filler or gelcoat if its made with polyester. PPG 2 part paint to finish.. add anti fouling coat to taste

Thanks for the replies guys. I think for now I will sail it as is with stock sails not MX. If its a light day I will rig the kite also. Cheers Al

As an FYI on price point I just sold 2 P18's for 2700 one in excellent condition other one in fair condition. 2 trailers and loads of spares.
