I'm in the no lubricant camp for all the reasons mentioned. Anything that holds dirt or sand is bad. Keep it clean and out of the dirt.

Pontoons? Arggghhhhh! Relieve tramp tension and dead blow mallet. Vinegar idea is a good one so is good old WD40!

Prindle 16/Nacra 5.0 + any size Nacra Prindle and any boat with a similar hill design. Very stable and no pitchpole.
