Go to McMaster Carr, buy some linear o-ring stock, cut and glue the ends together. Very easy and no need to chase down a Viking specific o-ring.

Keeping the flow smooth across the mast onto the sail is key. If the angle is creating a detached flow, wrong angle I am afraid.
