Rough guess $150? Probably about half what a new one would cost.

I've put LOTS of holes in my mast and beams installing downhaul components and various other add ons. Haven't had a problem.

Awesome job!! I'm just waiting for my fabric to come in and I am planning on making my own wing tramps! Hope that I have as much success.

You can get a sailmaker, tarp maker or uphosterer to do the repair. They all have the needed industrial sewing machines to do it as well as the know...

Congratulations! That is one of my 2 all time favorite boats! I'm assuming you have the steel v jam cleat on your forestay. Those cleats have a t...

Don't rub it in. If I could find one and had the money I would get one. A 5.7 more than a 5.0. 😉

Nope my worries were justified! My flat top main's bolt rope is so big it takes up the entire track. No room for the halyard and the sail. So I pul...

The 5.2 is certainly a more complicated boat than a prindle or hobie 16 But I still love it. The main culprit for making it cramped for sitting is u...

You could probably do it if you released the tension on the tramp. Would be a bit of an operation though. When I install my grommets I don't bother w...

Agreed, the boat seems to like to have the lee hull somewhat submerged. I have run it under almost all the way to the front beam. Probably a better...

Is that true!? I just finished filling a pile of old rivet holes in my boat using marine tex (I know I know, but they were small holes on the deck). ...

Never heard of such a thing. Stiffness is normally the name of the game with cats. You want the hulls and beams to move as little as possible relati...

You need to run on under the tramp just aft of the daggers. A shock cord through the rear beam is only useful as a chicken line. Get yourself a bra...

OK, I am probably worrying too much. Too much in a hurry to get it all done and in the water. Summer is too darn short up here to waste it working o...

Yeah, it's a bit of a trick. Best thing is to just sail it and adjust rake to your liking over time. As long as it isn't raked forward you will be O...

Ah, that shouldn't be a problem. Still would prefer to run it externally if possible. How about mounting it on the boom goosneck? I have a cheek bl...

I've done it both ways and I like having the leader line on the jib blocks a little better, and they tend to bind less for some reason. Try both ways...
