Test Post TomInPA
Just refreshing on how to add some posts and images. I got busy for a while as my daughter gave birth this past week. Adding a spoiler with her name.
Happy Valentines Day
I am attempting to add an image file and am able to browse, but not add the image into a post using Mozilla. I am coming back on Chrome to try again.

Anyone notice that the spoiler is not hidden?
That's the old school forum . . . try using "choose file"Posted by: @tominpaThe edit menu does not seem to have an image insertion icon that creates the [img] [/img] code

Congrats on the Granddaughter!
On the spoiler
This is the hidden stuff. Try it!

So you have to put the spoiler content between the spoiler tags after adding the spoiler tag with title.
You can make something you've already typed a spoiler by highlighting the text, clicking the spoiler icon, then giving it a title.

@damonadmin I am learning to use the features as I go here. I received the notification of “mention” and followed on my iPhone, was able to login and reply. Not thrilling, but the system is working.

Thank you for helping out. We are all learning the new forum together so don't hesitate to point out things that aren't clear or don't work.
By seeing what is not obvious to current members, I'll know what to put in a FAQ or what to answer when the other 30,000+ arrive. 💣

Posted by: @tominpaSo to add the image, it seems I need two steps. By creating the attachment, the link appears to be clickable in the post. I wonder what happens if I add img tags:
Interesting, I didn't know that the BBCode tags would work in this forum. They shouldn't be showing in the post though.
I've just posted a topic about images displaying from the Attach File feature. Please try again and see how it goes.

Mobile usage is very important, so everything is being built to be responsive to any screen size. Everyone please test on all mobile devices, laptops, and large monitors you have available and report any issues.

My only real concern is that when attaching images, the preview does not show the image, so there is no confirmation how the image will appear. In other forums, the image previews. Here, it might turn out sideways or not appear at all. It's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. I attach an image and preview, and can't see it. Currently using Firefox Mozilla and have attached a file. Preview shows nothing.
Daemon, what happens if my file attachment is a short video?

He addressed this earlier here. File attachments are currently limited to 8MB, so if under 8MB you can attach it. He suggested using a video sharing service like YouTube, etc.

Well video content is fun and can be instructive. Big improvement!

I realize we can link to YouTube, but short videos within the 8MB limit saves that step
My reply was posted inside the quote. Using my phone that was not obvious. For anyone looking at this thread, it’s my job here to make mistakes when the interface is not clear.
Right now the forum is only using the basic features that it has "out of the box". There are a LOT of paid addons to enhance the features. Two of them that I'll probably use to enhance content uploading and display:
Advanced Attachments (lots of upload features and allows members media folders)
