Anyone know if a Prindle 18 mainsail will work on a Prindle 19?

Prindle 19 mast 30 feet 3 inches
Prindle 18-2 mast 28 feet 9 inches
Approx 15 square feet of sail area difference
Approx 10 pounds difference in the weight of the boats
If you were to use a 18-2 mainsail the boom would be 1 foot 6 inches higher than normal, or you would need to make a pigtail 1 foot 6 inches and attach it to the head of the sail to have the boom in its normal position.
You can make it work if you already have it, but I would still try and find a P19 mainsail. The P19 is a very well thought out boat and deserves to have the proper equipment if possible. I had one for the better part of 10 years and loved the way it performed.
