Turnbuckle with a roller furling
My Prindle 18-2 has a roller furling and it is attached to the forestay with a turnbuckle. I just can't get the negative thoughts out of my head regarding the turnbuckle unthreading one day while the furler is spinning. Am I over thinking this or is a turnbuckle just a bad idea here? Thanks Pete

No problem at all, just make sure the counter-nuts ( translation ? )
which keep the threaded ends on the turnbuckle in place are tight
and taped with volcanic tape.
Still not able to sleep ? Replace it with something like this.

I believe this is stock for the 18-2 and should not be a problem.

since you would have to cut off the turnbuckle. you would probably need to replace the entire forestay to change to another system (chainplate or thimbled end) - not a big deal but some Loctite and rigging tape would be cheaper
