2nd Question. Does anyone know if a vinyl tramp can be repaired once it starts to tear, and if so, where or who does such repairs? I would also like my sails looked at to see if they need to be renewed, such as having the stitching redone, batton pockets checked, as well as the bolt rope.

you can repair tramps by having new material sewn in as a patch. most small holes dont need repair as they usually dont creep (increase). but larger holes and tears need attention. you DONT want to fall through while stepping the mast....

you should find a local sail shop to look at your sails, or find your local hobie dealer.. dont trust anyone else for your sails. A marine cover shop or will not know the correct way to repair your bolt rope, or know if your sails are shot.

Has anyone ever dealt with SLO sails? I am looking at a new tramp for my Prindle from them. They offer relatively inexpensive one, about 100 dollars less than the next guy.

I just ordered a tramp from SLO for a Solcat 18. I have 3 sails on it. It has great craftmanship and is built for fat guys. Karl was awesome to deal with and I had it in a week.
