am wondering if you could use a symetrical spinnaker instead of Asymetrical since spin pole is stationary would it work pros/cons anyone.I have a lg A chute and a regular small chute.Any thoughts.

Just give me wind cause i already got water.

My understanding is that to use a symetrical spinnaker you need to move the spinnaker pole (whisker pole) from one side to the other depending on which tack you are on. The advantage of the asymetrical spinnaker is that you can have a stationary pole. This is why you always see asymetrical spinnakers on cats as a movable whisker pole is not really feasible. The A's are also nice because you can point much higher with them than a symmetric spin.

You may be able to get a sailmaker to recut your regular chute to an asymetrical configuration, you would have to talk to one.
