Source for hydro turf

I bought mine from "Bacho" on the forum. Bach Wilson owns Carolina sail and canvas in Greenville, SC. Let me know if you need a phone number, but you can message him on the forum. He was very helpful in selecting the right material and directed me to the PWC version which is more durable for our catamarans than the SUP version which is softer. I bought it in 2017 and still going strong. If you want customer support and be able to ask questions, buy from the forum member with a sailing supplies store.

OK, so I'm going to add this to my boat this season (soon) and was wondering how the Amazon stuff works out? I mean it looks like you have to select carefully and add adhesive to help it stick, but the price is so much lower, I have to wonder... Any success with it and/or tips?
Guessing it lasts maybe 3 or 4 years tops, and that's if it's covered, yes?
Thanks for all of the responses. The color and pattern I wanted was out of stock at many places. I ordered from PWC parts.com. In stock and only $5 shipping.
For those that have installed this, did you find it easier to cutout the dagger and beam openings before installing
or after it was stuck down?
Thanks

Thanks for all of the advice. I plan to make a template and lay it out on the back of the sheet. Any reason not
to cut it from the back side? The sheets are more rigid than I expected. I am thinking that I should wrap the sheet over the edge of the hull and train it for a few days before sticking it down?

It may help to pencil in some guide marks for laying down the Hydoturf, especially if it is pre-cut. You will need to start at either end and apply it like you would a decal. Light pressure to tack, and try to get it as close to correct as possible the first time as it may not lift up. I would not worry at all about "training" the shape. It will instantly stick once the release paper is off and will not lift again. Roll everything down with firm pressure to finish. This is some of the most tenacious contact cement I have ever worked with.
