I have a solcat 18 and i recently found when i was righting the boat after capsizing that on the inside of the port hull there is a major soft spot (from the rear beam to the front beam). any tips on how i should go about fixing it would be great!

Kent, do a quick search on "delamination repair", this subject has been discussed repeatedly on this site, it is a relatively easy fix no matter your expertise or lack thereof............ :lachen:

Kent, West Systems has a book on repairing fiberglass that is very helpful. I picked mine up at West Marine. If you are interested I could fax you the pages on repairing hull delamination. If interested e-mail me with a fax number at poultonscott@aol.com.

I have found the same on both of my Solcat 18's. Im thinking about separating the deck from the hull and re-glass the entire deck from the inside. The week decking on mine is from the stern to about the middle in addition to several areas on the hulls,,,, de lamination 6-8" to 10-14". seams like the best idea

Some of the guys here have hulls that have more area injected than not! An hour searching will get you all the info you need.
Here is an idea for doing large areas quickly, bottom of thread.
