My rudder on my 5.2 will not go all the way down. I lack about a quarter of an inch. I tried replacing the tiller arm because it was bent slightly and I thought that would fix it. (The top of the rudder was bumping against the arm inside the casting. ) Well it didn't, now should I try sanding the top of the rudder? Any suggestions or thing to look for? Thanks

Sounds strange. You could take both rudders out of the castings and lay them on top of each other and see if the holes line up. If not might be necessary to fill and redrill.

Check and see if the arm is riveted properly in the rudder casting. It sounds like it is sitting a little low.
