Hello all

I have a Hobie 17 with a taped race sail. Sail is still in good condition but the tape has come off in several places.

What's the easiest / cheapest way to fix this? I'm not going to be racing this summer and just want to get out on the water and sail.

Thanks!

Marc

Marc, Welcome to TheBeachcats.com,

Please clarify what you mean by "taped race sail".

If you mean that the factory Hobie 17 mylar coated sail is delaminating (the clear plastic is peeling off the colored cloth) then there is little you can do. If it's small amounts you can delay the inevitable by using sail tape to stick down the loose sections.

Tell us about yourself and your sailing area!
