Prindle 16 Tiller Cross Bar
Well it looks like someone sat on my Tiller Crossbar while watching the sun set and snapped it in half.
Does anyone know where I can get an aluminum rod matching the exact dimensions of the original? Don't need the hardware only the aluminum pipe. It's approx. 73 3/4" long x 1" Diameter and .120 Thickness. Thank you.
Online metals has a wide range of tubing (lots of other stuff, as well). Their prices aren't bad, either, but shipping may be enough to call around for a local supplier.

It will be easier to find 1/8th-wall 1-inch tubing, and you also might look for a sleeve that you can rivet in. There's not a lot of load on the tiller crossbar unless someone uses it as a stool (frustrating, that!).

I'm building a new crossbar myself. I'm using 1" 6061 aluminum that cost me $15 locally. I'm putting 7/8" delrin at the center and ends to strengthen where it will be drilled through. I've learned the hard way that 7/8" isn't always 7/8".
Where are you at? That might help others identify good sources of material for you.
