could someone advise on what size and type of shackle to use for connecting lower block to traveler? Apparently I lost one in canceling to find information regarding size and type. Thank you in advance.

the biggest factor is to make sure the shackle pin will fit in the blocks
you can use drill bits to determine the size of the hole on your blocks
or
bring the blocks to west marine (810 Jackson Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417)
or other sailing shop and make sure
