Hey guys, I need a little help here. I just bought a H18SX mast and a Nacra spinnaker pole.

The mast has 2 harken down haul swivel cam cleats mounted at the mast base on a SS bracket what is this for? Is it for the down haul? If so why 2? Is this after market?

The spinnaker pole has a goose neck on it and I am looking for options to mount it to my cross beam.

I have a H18 with SX wings and the extra mounting plates for the cross beams.

Not the best photos but I think you can see what I am asking about.

There are two swivel cam cleats so the downhaul can be adjusted by the crew while on the wire on either side.

Do you mean while on the trapeze?

Most nacra systems I have seen use a plate with a stud sticking out of it riveted to the beam. The pole has a plastic insert stuck into the pole that fits around the stud. You can attache the pole anyway you like, just keep in mind that you want to keep it simple to install and take apart.

Yes. Downhaul is a big power adjuster used often when racing especially bouy racing where every bit counts so it has to be handy.

Hey thanks!

Where should I look for mounting ideas for my spin pole? I am trying to invision what the original owner of the spin pole did and I just cant see it.

Any recommendations? I don't mind doing modifications.

The Hobie pole mounts like a Hobie boom since the front cross bar is a curved piece of mast you need to get the mast portion of the goose neck for a boom. HTH, Richard.
