Hi,

The rudder bars on my 5.2 are currently straight and I want to bend them to the correct angle whilst I have them all apart, does anyone know what angle was used on the 5.2 from the factory or have one they can measure please?

Thanks!

Anthony

I personally wouldn't bother, the gain is not significant. I see cannot tell the difference between my 5.7 (angled), & the 5.0-straight.
However, I do understand that Cat people like to tinker!
Here is a photo of my 5.7 tiller. I don't know the actual angle.

anthony,
here is a photo of a tiller arm from my 1991 Nacra 5.8. it could be similar to what you want.

caution: i tried to do what you are hoping to do by bending a straight tiller arm using a vice. after (visibly) stressing the outer surface, it cracked the tubing. if you're going to bend the tubing, use a conduit bender like electricians use. just a suggestion.

I'm with Ed on the not worth fussing with notion. I suggest you check your rudder alignment before you do anything. If it's dead straight to very slightly toed in (up to 1/8") leave it alone. Here's what I went through.
