Mooring raft for cats
I have been struggling for years to find a place to keep my 17 ft. cat in an area with precious few beaches.
I hate trailering it, so I built a mooring raft that works really well. If you need to haul it for the winter,
you'll need a marina nearby so you can store it boat and raft together.
As a mooring raft it is a dream because it's always into the wind so setting sails is a snap and the raft is so stable it's almost like being on your own personal beach and without the damaging pitching of a moored cat.
Below is a link to pictures and plans for 2 variations of a do it yourself raft.
Or adapt it to your own plan.

I had always thought some sort of floating dock that could have some sort of a ramp on one side would be great for a cat. I really like what you came up with. If I ever get a place where I can keep one on the water I'll have to look into that. I had also thought something like that tied or built into a traditional marina slip would be nice to. Were the floats very expensive?
You need a tall flag pole. You should get an windsurfer mast or something. As big as it is you might well build in a table and some benches and a barbeque grill while your at it. You could have a nice little hole in the table for a big umbrella. π
These are also very cool

I know this is quite in old thread, but I wondered if you could post the pictures and plans again? The Dropbox link isn't working anymore. I'd love to see them because I'm trying to do something like it. Thank you!
