Some web page advocated lanolin on crimps. I wonder if itvwas wicjed in, how long it would last?

Has anyone experimented with this or greases to prolong rigging life? Obviously i dont want to make an oil slick, but i wonder if periodic WD40 would be useful to retard corrosion, esp if ecposed to salt water. Thanks.

wd40 retards water and is not very useful for rust prevention on a boat

Lanacote is a fine product that will hold in place
my personal fav currently is tef-gel. but lanacote is good too.

this may help but it is my exp most stay failures (not including individual strand failure) happens in an anaerobic area. this is for rigging and attachments (stay tangs, etc).

These are both from my 5.5
