I posted this in my other thread but thought maybe I should just start another. I just want to make sure I'm not going to do any damage like this.

I was taking some of the slack out of my shroud wires and I want to know if this is enough contact for the rotation stops. Am I at my limit or can I go farther back or am I to far already?

I think my h16 at full rake is pretty comparable with no ill effects.

yes that is my H14T. The mast rotates pretty easily but the shrouds are snug. I was worried they were to loose.

Tighten the forestay unless you like that much mast rake.. Perhaps use a disk homemade from a milk bottle .. Or no disk at all.. Hal

If you want to modernize, you could grind off the portion that hits the stop, add a mast rotation control. Similar to a H-18 P-18. Not really hard to do, the difference would be you would have to install the wishbone (mast rotator) and cleat on the under side of the boom instead of above.
