I bought a group of items of craigslist for my H18 but I believe the tramp is for a P18, it didn't fit correctly on my hobie and has a P18 written on it in chalk. Can someone confirm if it's for a P18? It's in great condition and would like to sell it.

It doesn't look anything like my P-18, but mine is not a two-piece.

Looking in the assembly manual though, the two-piece pictured has the round cut-outs for the hull accesses.

Maybe an 18-2 but not an 18

Looks like a Hobie 18 tramp to me, how did it not fit the Hobie?

There are no tabs for the side lacing, so it is not for a stock Prindle 18.

I shouldn't say it didn't fit. It fit but it seemed strange that the black foot straps went all the way to the end of the tramp and would be pinched between front crossbar and tramp.

The foot straps don't go all the way to the end of my other hobie tramp.

Which brand tramp is it? What brand is your other Hobie tramp?

Each tramp manufacture creates their own design, so none of them are identical and they have a lot of ways of attaching the straps.

Definately not a Prindle tramp.
Looks like a custon H18 tramp with longer than stock hiking straps.

This tramp is plastic welded not sewn together, I thought that made it an OEM Hobie tramp?

The tramp on my H18 is original Hobie.

Actually taking another look at the picture I'm pretty sure it is a Hobie factory H18 tramp. The welded pockets look just like my black one and on page 15 of the current catalog there is a picture of a bunch of Hobie 16's with blue tramps and they have black hiking straps that extend all the way like yours.

I don't think that Hobie offers blue mesh tramps anymore, just black and turquoise, they sell for $614.
