When I fully remove the 4 allen bolts from the rear cross beam on my hobie 18, I assume they are held in place by some kind of a keeper, am I correct? I have a down loaded manual but it is not clear to me. I need to fully remove it to make some repairs, any other guidance?
thanks

yes there is a alum block (slug) inside your beam that has a hole tapped into it that receives the bolts. If i recall correctly the alum block is held in place by rivets.
