I just bought a 5.7 and was looking on the Internet and saw a 5.2 with a partial front tramp hooked in triangles from the front wires at the pontoons going back to the center by the mast and at the beam near the hulls. Can anyone tell me where to buy something like that for my 5.7? Would really like a full tramp aross the front but might put to much stress on the hull on the forestays? I know the GCats have a beam going across for support. Any thoughts? Living in Orlando.

Not the best idea in the world, weight that far forward wouldn't really work for a 5.7, or most boats except the getaway and gcat. You couldn't actually put a person up there without running the bows into to drink and plowing in any sort of wind. the getaway and Gcat were designed for that but the nacras and most others weren't. The only exception I've seen is Andrew put a small one on his mystere to hold a cooler and a few things. Sail the 5.7 a bit before you do much to it. There is quite a bit of room on that tramp compared to most cats.

Owned 5 2 nacra til Hurricane " Sandy" took her,
and have a Nacra 5 7 and regularly crew on my friend Joe Pogostins Nacra 570,Wolfman understated the perils you would endure in superimposing a tramp fore the front crossbar in my opinion. I can't fathom how they hung /jury rigged it on the 5.2. Perhaps with those 2 giant /heavy daggers on the 5.2 fully down and rigging a double trapeze system as i had on my 5.2 you might be able to balance, but I doubt it.

Catamaran's have hulls, pontoon boats have pontoons πŸ™‚

for my 5.5 - I ordered a rectangle front tramp from Sunrise yacht company - http://multihullnets.com/
it is perfect - has a pouch on top for my anchor and on the other side (underneath) has a pocket for my righting bag
it sits right in front of the beam and is tied to the beam and 1 eyestrap on each hull

my 6.0 has a web triangle that goes from beams to furler. it is perfect for my anchor and maybe a dry bag.
it has no weight nor windage

6.0

5.5

Thanks for all the input. Going back to look at it on youtube and found out it was a 5.0. You can see it if you search Nacra pine view and see it on the video. Understand on the weight and putting to much weight forward. Just looking for space forward of the mast to put some things. Thanks for the pics on how you got it set up on the other cats which gives me some options. Do you guys have a line on wings for the 5.7?
