The upper section of the roller furling forestay is beginning to unwind
I need to remove about 2 inches of it also since to get the rig tight it has to be in the lowest hole

I would like a turnbuckle there to replace it, but I can't find a turnbuckle with exactly the ends I want. I want one end to fit in the upper furler swivel 1/4" thick with 1/4" hole, and one end with large loop to fit on the shackle on the mast with the other stay's. Total length between 7.5 to 9 inches the current one is 9 and 5/8.

Has anyone replaces it with this setup, it seems like I will have much better adjustability

Thanks,
Ernie

I've looked here, http://www.suncorstainless.com/cast-jaw-jaw-turnbuckle-w-nuts and I don't see anything that would be what you're looking for. Also might check http://www.mcmaster.com they may have something. Might be easier and safer to get a pigtail made at a marina that does rigging or industrial supply house. Also check with http://www.aquarius-sail.com/, as they were the makers of SC. Good luck.
