deck port stuck

once you get it off, take the lid and clean it in a container (so it is submerged)
use air if possible to spray out the tracks (on the boat) and finish off with a wet rag - get all the sand and grit out - will make opening easier next time

I needed more leverage to open a deck port last weekend and thought of this suggestion. Then I looked for something more at hand and this worked perfectly 🙂

Good idea... I have been using Sailkote on the lids to help... seems to do ok.
