When I replaced the tramp on my Nacra 5.7 last fall, most of the cross beam strap bolts were seized and broke off. I drilled them out, re-tapped and reinstalled the bolts and thought everything was hunky-dory. The last time I took the boat out on the water, I check the bolt tightness. I may have used more than the 16-18 ft/lbs recommended in the assembly instructions, because the bolt and part of the attachment on the inside of the hull pulled through the hull. I would like some advice on how to fix this. I though maybe drilling a hole large enough to insert a piece of stainless steel or aluminum stock into the hull, gluing it in place with 5200 and re-tapping a new bolt hole? Again, any suggestions from all of you more experienced diy sailors will be very appreciated!

Upon closer inspection, it appears that a previous owner glued a threaded sleeve into the bolt hole, which subsequently pulled out when I tightened the strap bolt. Does it make sense to drill/tap a larger hole and epoxy in a length of threaded aluminum stock? I could then drill/tap a standard sized bolt hole into the aluminum stock. Or is this just another stop-gap, half-arsed "fix"? Do I need to suck it up and whip out my Sawzall? My only concern doing this is that I don't know how large a hole I will have to cut into the fiberglass and I am completely inexperienced in fiberglass repair. I am attaching a few pics of the damaged strap bolt. Thanks for your help!
It's not a big issue according to my opinion . Pics shows that fault in the fitting area and you need to maintain it as soon as possible. You can use cross beams also to provide an extra care and support. Cross beams are easily available in many shapes and you need to find of best according to your need.
Email me, I did this repair on the ARC22 last season, with a ss nut welded to short PC of ss strap. Enlarged the hole just enough to insert this piece vertically, pulled it into horizontal position with wire, and secured it with thickened epoxy and 8-32 machine screws. Very effective and permanent, I think I have pics of the repair.
