Hey all, I busted a piece on my mainsheet system while on a close haul. I have a 1981 G-Cat 5.0 with Seaway parts. The part that broke was between the bottom ratchet (camcleat) block and the lower (middle) block. There was a spring there. What's the best piece of hardware to attach the two again? Currently using two shackles.

I think what you want there is a swivel, with two clevis pins of the correct diameter. I'll try to look for a pic to attach. Or you could look online at apsltd.com.

You could also use a twist shackle since the bottom block has the swivel post.

Twist shackle won't work as both ends need a shackle. What Dave was referring to is a shackle swivel 1/4". Have one. Pete 909-800-5237

Yeah, what Pete sez. He's bound to have a serviceable unit for substantially less than retail.

Yes! Swivel Shackle. I had no idea what to call it.
Thanks all for the help!
