I am building a Frankencat2 from two 5.8 hulls with 10.5 ft wide beams. I have a pair of Marstrom Tornado rudders and an alu Marstrom Tornado rig, but no daggerboards, although I have a pair of 5.5 daggerboards that I will lengthen and beef up.The boards really needs to be fattened up to 25mm thickness, as they are only 20mm(7%), enough room in the daggerboard slot(image2). I have almost all measures for the 5.8 boards, but not how long up the straight trailing edge reaches? Anyone out there who can check?

I have several daggerboards available to sell for the 5.8 and 6.0.

Hi Philip,
Thanks for the offer, but I live in Sweden. Shipping from the US is nono due to the extreme cost. I normally buy catamaran stuff from BNR in the Netherlands. But I am not intersted in buying, just rebuilding the boards taking up place in my workshop. I use Nacra F18 Infusion daggerboards in the 5.5 nowadays.

You can measure the freeboard of the centerboard trunk and subtract out from there. I would have loved to expand the 6.0 to 10' wide. Having the 18-2 10' wide is a speed freak. I'm very interested in seeing the end product.

Hey Lars,

Can you elaborate on the use of f18 daggerboards on your 5.5? Did you modify the trunks or daggerboard exits on the bottom of the hulls?
Any noticeable difference with how the boat handles?
Thanks!
