My 18 Foot sx18 is in my shop for winterization, I am wondering if anyone has some advice for getting one of them opened, the one that did open was very tight, lots of grit inside. I sprayed some sail cote lube spray and wd40 and will leave it overnight?????

Do you mean that the screw-in port won't turn?

It can be hard to get a good hold on those. Try warm water and also make sure your hull plug is out, you can get a vacuum going inside the hull that can make them hard to remove.

Put the handle of a pair of pliers on slots. Then fasten vice grips to working end of pliers, push down hard & turn. Pete

Mine were always getting stuck. I sprays all the threads on the ports and covers down with sailkote this year and haven't had a problem since.
