created new password as private email instructed, and got a change of password email to confirm. As expected the change of password email went to spam. I completed the new creation without issues and this is first reply "with quotes".
So far, so good

If file size prevents the image from adding to post, might want to consider a resizing BOT to automate the process.

@tominpa So to upload and show an image, use the "attach file" feature.
____________
Damon Linkous
That feature right now can only display a single image per post. This forum is a completely stock WPForo install, but there are a LOT of paid addons that I can install to provide more features if we decide they are worthwhile. $$

If I click on Tom's image it opens new tab to https://imgur.com/
If I click on Damon's image it opens new tab to local wp.thebeachcats.com host.

Are the plugins a one time charge?
Philip
@p-m limit will be the same for all file types. Small videos could be uploaded but longer would be better to post a YouTube link.

No, annual. Run from $25-40 a year or can buy all of them for $290 per year as a bundle.

Nice! Seems uploading any attachment type within the size limit inserts images or sound files without further steps.

You would use the first one for simple direct links using the url and the second method to make links with descriptive link text.

Do you plan to add member albums, tech albums, etc. later after further testing?
Will there be an option for subscription?

My goal is to reproduce or reinvent all of the features of the old site. I've already successfully migrated the old photo albums over to software called Piwigo. All 24,502 Photos, 1618 Albums, 5.7 GB
Those albums had to be preserved since they contain so much history and reference photos for tech tips, history, and cat types. It will stand on it's own as an archive. Since the new forum has photo uploads, members will be able to post like in the technical help forum and include the photos directly instead going and creating an album, much easier.

I'll be looking for discussion and feedback on this topic. One reason I chose this particular forum is that it can integrate well with a number of membership plugins. It would be great to have the site pay for itself through premium level memberships but I'm not worried about that right now. First have to create a site worth visiting.
