This looks like a great deal for someone in the Arkansas area.

I'm in Memphis TN about 3- 3.5 hours away from that boat. It looks cherry - especially with the new trampoline ( missing front trampoline ) Hulls and the rest of the hardware look in great shape. I can bring it to ocean springs MS for the Island Hop Regatta weekend after the 4th of july for someone - if none of our local guys don't nab it first :0)

I talked to the seller. Could be a good deal but it's not a "barn find" cherry old boat. He has spent a lot of time fixing up and painting a 5.0 that had been in bad shape. So it depends on what you are looking for, it would take a lot of time and money to get a "free" boat in bad condition to looking this nice.

Be interested, but be aware. Judging from what he told me about the trailer, if I was going to pick the boat up I'd bring my own trailer or flatbed instead of taking that one on the interstate.

I went to check it out - took my trusty trailer. After a bunch of inspections I bought the boat for $600 - no trailer. Hulls are solid, sails are crisp new from Super Sail makers, Ft Lauderdale ( main was $950+, Jib $450 ) Trampoline is new, still has slight creases from being folded and shipped, all hardware is in A condition, all new standing rigging, rudders and tiller components are excellent and the mast is perfectly straight. The seller did a TON of restoration on it and it shows. He described in detail, materials used to do any repair and had detailed info and measurements from Hans to verify everything was correct. No corrosion or rust anywhere!

I usually haul my Hobie 20 to all regattas. If the trials of the next few weeks let me push it to the max and it handles as it should.... It could move up to my go-to cat. I can tell you. It's light and all lines are new. The teeny main traveler is my only concern so far.
