John, make your links live, it’s a PITA to have to copy & laser them.
Select “ URL”, from the menu, just below the window you are typing in.
Paste your link inside the brackets, your cursor should go there automatically.
If you are using an iPad, it will insert a space right after the 1st bracket, delete that space, then hit submit. Voila.
