Good (maybe great) deal on a G-Cat

I believe this is a G-Cat 5.7. Please note motor mount and rudder upgrade. Those two items alone are worth $1000 plus.

If it was closer I would probably buy it myself.

it is a clean looking cat
of course sails shape is a huge factor- new sails will cost you 5x that price

rudder upgrade

Looks like dotan rudders - those have pros and cons but most cat sailors i know were not happy with them

I saw this one on Craigs list and called the guy. He said he measured it at 18 1/2 ft, that makes it a 5.7. Could be worthy of a restoration but also could be one of those cases where the sum of the parts are more than the whole.

what needs restoring?
did he say anything was out of order?
