what is best 5 oz or 3.9 oz dracon?
why is the difference in price of after market sails so huge compared to hobie sails 25 to 40%, is hobie sails quality that much better?
I saw a wave sail made by supersail in fortlauderdale fl and it simply looked awesome just beautiful white sail no funky patterns. what is the best sail material for a hobie getaway. i sound like a recorder but thanks much for any help.

lostsailor,

Give the folks at www.WhirlwindSails.com a call. The owner, Chip Buck, did the computer sail design work on the Getaway when he worked at Hobie. Now that he has his own sail loft, no one knows the Hobie sails better.

Whirlwind has everything from bargain sails to extreme performance with the latest sail materials.

I've got two sets of Whirlwind Sails for my H18, one that uses dacron and is cut exactly to match the standard Hobie sails but with a vertical color pattern (RadialX) and a Pentex set (SuperR) that has the same total sail area, but with a squaretop.
