brrrrrrr

Just got a weather alert that wind chill in Memphis could be down to 7 below Zero! In Memphis!

Lots of you are colder though, hang tight, the season is on the way.

Oh boo hoo! We've been socked in with temperatures around -40 for over 4 weeks so far this winter. It doesn't matter if its in celsius or fahrenheiht at that temp, they are both the same. At that temperature exposed skin freezes in about a minute. Not to mention my 2 sled dogs are wrapped up with me inside. I LOVE winter but this sucks donkey balls!

Also if you look at your map there, you see where that violet part is. I`m north of that, just below the 2 lakes at the top of the map.

Anthropogenic climate change. The winters get colder, the summers get warmer, the extremes happen more often. Global warming is a misnomer that was coined in the 80s.

Sorry, part of my job is to extrapolate the effects of climate change into the future for flood control and power production.

Last week when it was only -8 deg F I had to work outside for 2 hours. That felt pretty good and I slept like a baby that night. I really love this kind of weather. 😎

Right now is -10 deg F and wind chill about -50... and thinking about sailboating πŸ˜† .

Went for a bike ride yesterday in t-shirt and shorts.
Had to swing back by the house in the middle to pick up a windbreaker.
It's just too cold to ride with your arms exposed in 63F weather.
Sunglasses are a plus.
That white stuff on the ground up north looks like it might be sand, but it piles up real high.
Never had sand on my roof, excepting that last Haboob that swept by.
We got big Haboobs out here!
The only ice at the marina is in our drinks.
In a few months you'll be enjoying the outdoors while I will get a sunburn looking out the window.
C'est la vie!

But don't you have all them man eating sharks, & salties just drooling over the hors d'oeuvre's floating by?
I saw there was a flap with the drumlines & shark huggers.
Besides, just how the hell ya'all stay on your boats, being upside down is a mystery to me:-D

I'm just jealous, had to be content with skiing a foot of fresh powder last two days.
