When I was a kid circa '77-78 I had Hobie brochures. I remember a small Hobie 11 made for kids like me. It looked just like a 14. I can't find anything on it anymore.
Does anybody remember the Hobie 11? ( not the Hobie 12 monocat )

I think you're referring to the Hobie 3.5.
Made in the late 70's.

As small as a 14 is, that picture is insane. So tiny. Wonder how it actually sailed.

Thanks! I thought maybe I dreamed it.....
Made for a kid - that's what I was and that's why I wanted one!
Sailboat data says it has the same hulls as a Hobie 14 so there isn't much point except for a kid to be able to right it.
I had a Hobie 12 Monocat and that was a great boat except for the ABS construction. It was easy to right after capsize even for my skinny 12 yo self - yet it would carry passengers with ease. It was fast too and would plane on the bottom of the round hulls with me and a friend hiking as far back as possible on a broad reach.

On further reading Sailboat data looks wrong and the hulls are smaller at just over 11 feet.
