Trapeze Hook

Merry Christmas!!
I need help in solving my trapeze hook dilema.
We are now sailing in our drysuits as the weather in North Georgia is getting pretty cold. Today's high was about 52F and with my drysuit, harness and life preserver, my Can't Miss rings keep popping out of my hook. I have the trap lines adjusted so there is plenty of tension on my shock cord, but it keeps popping out. I lost count of the number of times that I started going out on the wire and the ring was nowhere near my hook.
Is there some trap hook arrangement that works better than just the simple hook? I have seen a ball mechanism and I have also seen a hook with a little rubber jaw to keep the ring in place.
I would sure hate to have to swim in this cold water but I know if I keep what I have, it is only a matter of time.
Thanks in advance for any information you can share.
Thanks!

Dave,
I have Stohlquist vest that I got from Muirrays that is specific for trapeze sailing. It has a very low front profile. I have even tightened the shoulder straps to make it ride even higher.
It almost seems like I have to have most of my weight on the ring in order for it to stay in place. Right now, when I am sitting on the hull, the shock cords seems to have enough upward pull to keep it in place but once I twist my body to look over my shoulder, the ring pops out.
Thanks!

HULLFLYER,
I had a feeling that was going to be the best solution. I am going to have to shorten my trap wires. I have an adjustable trap rig and i have it tightened up all of the way and my butt is not floating off of the hull. Fortunately, my trap wires are made of Dyneema line so I shortened them about 3 inches to see if that will make a difference. I'll post the results.
Thanks!

how about lossing the "can't miss" and get a elongated metal double one ( https://www.saltydogmarine.com/product_info.php?products_id=3730&cPath=52&osCsid=f607c78db8599e087724cd6e7d60ef34 ). this gives you spots to click (high and low)?
PS my "can't miss" crapped out on me once. i was on the wire, near the spyder bouy (clearwater), not another cat around for miles and the wire inside it broke... SPLASH... no more fo me
