Sounds like a good plan, most of us skip the gym part so you are way ahead of the program. 😆

The Round-Texel is a great event, big enough to qualify for "bucket list" status.

It is one of the things to do before you kick the bucket. Which means before you die you want to do a list of things. Hence bucket list. HTH, Ricardo.

Looking good! but i would suggest for the best training.... you should also put the boat in the water

donno if I agree. If you can make your cat move on land then you should dominate the race course.

Refers to the things you really want to try/do before you die. The idea was to write them down, & put them in a bucket. Each year you pull a couple out & do them. Try to empty the bucket before you die. The term was made popular by a movie of the same name starring Jack Nicholson.

@ RicardOben , Thanks, always good to learn something.

@ MN3, Was trying to dry the sails a bit before packing up, we had a lot of
drizzle rain, when I saw the clouds and the sun that made a nice composition.
And ,yes, thats ice in front of the cat-track!

@ Headhunter, Almost made it entirely to the green gras on that picture,
one day. That was on a beam-reach with 7Bf and before I had to restore
the hulls.

is that a symmetrical spinnaker? if so, how does the boat handle compared to an asymmetrical spin?

Arch, that is an a-symmetrical spin. Bought it second hand from a N F18.
Maybe the way the photograph was taken makes it look symmetrical.
Also it is not completely sheeted in. Still playing with the setup, the way it
is set now, I can sail very deep. When the bowsprit is lowered 2 inches I
get the impression its more powerful on a beam reach.

Luff tension is defiantly needed and will add to your ability to reach.
I had an f18 spin and could reach pretty well with it... my tornado is an older style one and wants to go deep, but with enough sheeting... it will reach a bit
