I just won a bid for a set of H16 sails on Ebay which a friend will pick up and bring home on a plane, I need some info on the best way to package and ship the battens. Thanks in advance

UPS stores have 2" tubes you can tape together & set will fit inside. It will be $25-40 because of oversize pkg. Pete

check shipping vs the plane thing May cost more for your friend to carry than to ship

I believe it was Jenna Meyer(sp?) who sent me some battens for an N5.7 sail. She taped 2 UPS boxes,(4"x4"x4'long) end to end.
It cost me $32 IIRC.

Last battens I bought showed up in PVC pipe taped off at ends. Worked great.
