Prout Beachcat

HI all,
stumbled on this http://www.speurders.nl/overzicht/watersport-en-boten/catamarans-en-trimarans/prout-catamaran-167360328.html?sr_ab=0
Its on a Dutch secondhand site and 2 steps away from my front door.
( 20min drive)
Some investigation on the web made almost clear its a "Swift" .
http://sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id=7178
I am a bit reluctant to pick it up, cause its a project for sure.
On top of that my old P18-2 is up for grabs ( €200 )
Anyway, just wanted to share this classic with you.

That hull actually looks familiar, can't put my finger on what i'm thinking of. It's listed as a Prout, I know they made a lot of small cruising catamarans.
According to Google translate the seller is saying it's an "Afternoon of work" to get this ready to sail, is this translation correct? :-O
Very nice catamaran complete with rigging and including trailer. Wooden deck must be coated, polyester hull quite right.
Everything is there and can be immediately sailed along. The rig, rudders, swords and trailer with light bar are all included. Decking should soon be new again in the paint but high off an afternoon of work. The polyester hull is quite right. He has always been inside but moved out because of lack of space and therefore decided to sell the catamaran. Overall, nice little boat for lots of sailing pleasure.

Prout is known for its small cabincats, if you look at the pics in the ad,
there are "anti-spray devices" on the inside at the front, also there's a
frontbeam on the bows.
If you look at the pics on sailboatdata,
http://sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id=7178
There are exact the same devices on those pics, also the measurements
are roughly the same so it is almost certain a Prout Swift.
As for the "afternoon of work" , thats the correct translation but I doubt
it can be fixed in that time-span.. 😎 😎

looks A LOT like a Shark Catamaran - sans centerboards, and angled transoms, and is a lot smaller

Its definitely a Prout.
Considering the measurements and "anti-spray device".
Btw, I did put in a offer...
