Finally finished up the video from last fall's Dauphin Island Sailing trip. "bad Gybe" I posted a while back and got much feedback 🙂 I'm new so take it easy on me 😎

Anyway let me know what you think.

Nice video! It reminded me of the last time I sailed with an A class cat that did circles around me.

SICK 5.2 man! A lot of work went into that boat.
Who made the sails?
The only thing that I saw was when the wind looked like it was up there was still a lot of shape in sails, flattening out in heavy stuff might make you a less vulnerable to big puffs.
Also notice that your main doesn't have a batten at the foot like mine does, which is interesting, I might try mine without that batten to see how it does off the wind in lighter air, I can't get enough shape in it when i need it to.
Nice work on the video!

IMHO that's when you want to tighten your batten up - to induce shape in your sail

I'm with you there, I've had them pretty tight this season, still kind of flat though. Just going to play with it and see what happens.

I don't know enough yet to debate. However I was in SUPER low air a week ago and the battens would not flip over on a tack or a gybe at that. I'm thinking they were a bit too tight for light air. when I say light air i'm talking like 3mph though. it was a paddle day here and there lol.

Thanks!! The sails are Whirlwind. I can't give any credit to myself for the looks of the boat. I bought it this way from a guy I sorta knew. He did put tons of work in. We are going a bit over the top to try to keep it that way, I do love the way it looks.
