I have these. Never used them for cat sailing, but I use them for windsurfing in cold weather. They are a winter boot and will keep your feet very warm. At 7mm, your feet are likely to be uncomfortably hot in anything other than cool and cold water conditions. You will probably also want a pair of thinner booties or water shoes for warm weather.

sm thanks for the review,I was thinking they would be toasty at 7 mm.Does the top strap do a good job of sealing the boot?

If you roll the cuff of your wetsuit leg over the top of the boot it will minimize water intake, but they are not dry boots. Snugging up the strap and rolling the wetsuit over the boot should prevent you from getting flushed in most cases, but your feet will still be damp at the end of the day.
