Back in 2007 I had the privileged of joining PVS on a trip from Hawaii to Japan with stops in the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and Palau. During that trip it was decided that an around the world trip would be the next big thing for Hokulea and PVS.

Right now it looks like March of 2013 Hokulea will leave Hawaii on this journey. For you guys that are on the East Coast you will be able to see the boat in person as she makes stops from Miami up to Boston.

After making all the stops in the US it looks like she will cross to the Med then go to the Cape Verde Islands to make the third crossing of the Atlantic stopping in the BVI's and then head for the Panama Canal. Once through a stop at the Galapagos Islands will be in order before heading back to Hawaii.

I was really hoping that a stop on the Gulf Coast would be in order. At this time it does not look like that will happen. However if you have a big boat you could sail along or meet the crew at various stops as they go through the Southern Caribbean or up the East Coast - should be about 1 year between the two times they come through
