Anyone used one of Murrays non OEM Hobie 16 mains? I ordered one as a spare for an upcoming trip as they had it in stock and could get it to me quickly. It is made by Hyde so I expect good things. Not sure how I feel about the windows for the tell tales, seems unnecessary. I always feel like the windows are the first part of the sail to have problems, so the fewer the better. I guess I'll find out soon enough.
They are great, you’ll wonder why every sail doesn’t have them. It allows you to see BOTH tell tales, even on heavy overcast days.
I don’t think there is an issue with longevity. I have them on an ‘84 H18, & no problems. The windows are pretty small, so they don’t take much load.
I have an almost new Hyde sail for the Dart, seems like a quality product.
