i dont know if that worked...anyways the mast seels to turn towards the wind. is that bad? can we do something to prevent it?

anyways the mast seels to turn towards the wind

Did you mean to type "seems to turn..."?
I have seen a few Freestyle 474's, but never sailed on one. Yours Cat is boomless, just let it turn. It will line up so the wind moves smoothly around it & along the sail.

You don't want to prevent it, but going downwind, if you're traveled out, you may want to force it to rotate more. Being traveled out and sheeted in will pull on the sail (a la outhaul) and pull the mast a bit more towards the rear beam.
