Sailing friends,
This past weekend there was a grass fire where we keep our boats. My 1990 5.8 Nacra was damaged. Both hulls took fairly extensive fire damage and I'm looking to replace them. Does anyone have a set of hulls that are water ready for sale? Please send me a PM or respond to this post if you know someone that's parting their 5.8 or know where I might be able to find them. To others: OKC's HPYC lost 3 boats this weekend, an I20 and two 5.8s, due to an asshat starting a grass fire. Not much else to say.

I got buddy with one 5.8 hull hanging in the rafters at his work as a memento from having the other hull torpedoed by the hull of another 5.8 in a race. I am not sure what year, my guess is older than 90 but I'm not sure if he is ready to give it up yet.

Someone just posted in our Prindle Facebook page that somebody pushed his P16 off the beach and set it a float and it it is now 33 miles off the VA coast somewhere.
P16 taken from Maersk liner in shipping lane off coast of Virginia Beach.

There are 2 5.8s for sale on our beach. Complete boats. One is listed here. You would have lots of spares.

It just dawned on me that you sail on Bear Lake in Utah. My best buddy that I climb, ski and do expeditions with is from Logan. Do you live in that area? His last name is Eskelson. Wondering if you guys have ever crossed paths.....

I hit Bear Lake 3 or 4 times during the season but I Live in the suburbs on the west side of Salt lake City so I doubt I have ever crossed paths knowingly. It is about a 3 hr drive for me to Bear but worth it. I'd love to have a little beach front cottage up there but I wouldn't want to be there for the winter.
Those pictures were taken at Deer Creek Reservior. A nice little Mtn Lake above Orem, Ut by a town called Midway. This the location of our Summer Games sailing events every year for cats, dingys,windsurfers, kite boarders, and SUPs.

Where does one get graphics for a 5.8? I'm sorry for your loss!
That's not mine but a friends. He made the graphics himself. He designed printed and applied them.

I doubt he'd give them up, I'm sure he intended it to be his own custom job but I'll see if he plans to put them on hi new 5.8 or not.
