knees

The Gill's have nice padding, but the velcro can get to the back of your leg and can be irritating. I have some other knee pads that aren't as thick, don't recall what brand, and are slip on, but have gone to Zhik Hybrid pants with the knee pads built in and they provide sun protection.

I would just do some neoprene sleeves ...

I bought a pair of those 7mm neoprene sleeves myself. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B091YSCS26 They come in on Tuesday, but I likely won't get to use them until the 25th... I'll report back on how they work out though.
Thanks for brining the subject up!

I'd appreciate that. I think something similar would work well for my purposes, and I'd like to hear about your experience.

I know they are a little bit on the pricier side but check out the new kneepads from Rooster. They are really comfortable and preformed so they shouldn't slide around.

Most of the big Hobie dealers that do other gear sell these too, East Coast Sailboats, Murrays, South Bay Sail and Kayak, and etc.
