I'm flying down to Ft. Luaderdale today to get down to Islamorada for the start of the Tybee 500 monday May 10th. I'll be there every step of the way reporting for the http://www.Tybee500.com website and TheBeachcats.com.

Where is the elbow room? Don't want to miss anything.
My flight was a little bit of an ordeal, memphis to atlanta went well but couldn't land in lauderdale due to thunderstorm, diverted to ft myers to refuel.
Two hours late in Ft Lauderdale, my ride had to circle the airport for a long time.
But now I'm in the car on the way to Islamoroda in the Keys.

I'm based in Fort Lauderdale for my flying, so I know the area well. We were coming back from the Bahamas on afternoon and lightning had struck Runway 9R/27L and knocked a big chuck of asphalt out. Somehow they diverted us to Runway 13 and sneaked us in ahead of everybody else. That whole area where the catamarans are coming in at Fort Lauderdale Beach is Party Central.
