Anyone seen one of these? Here is a guy selling instructional videos for building a catamaran from thinwall PVC and Wallmart cloth for sails.

"Note: RebelCat 5 is designed for cruising on lakes, not ocean racing with one hull out of the water."

The video also says it has "wave piercing hulls".
I would actually take it for a sail if someone dropped it on my dock.

Next time you drive into an unmarked pothole, just think that somebody just built their own catamaran!

I thought the video said you cut a slit top & bottom, then heated the PVC & bent it to fit?
I had to watch the entire video, was recuperating after a nasty NAcra day in 30 mph, & my buddy was slow on a beer run.
I also noticed that not a single segment showed the sewer tube cat under sail, they were all stills.
I don't imagine there was much shape to the home sown sail made with $1/yd Wally World fabric, but what the hell, it still would beat sitting on the shore all day.

Something I saw on the site said he had two methods and now recommends using 10 inch pvc and traffic cones (which have a 10 inch base) for the nose because it's simpler than the heat and shape method.

Still wonder what the source of the traffic cones is supposed to be. 😎

You want cones? Just pick a few up on the way to or from Island Hop. Every Interstate in Mississippi is under construction.

I know the University of Alabama PD is missing a few orange cones. Always seems to happen around homecoming :prost: ! Dont ask how I know this or where they end up.
