This past August when I had my boat at Choctawhattchee Bay, my Brother -in-law was going to make a video with his drone, a Go-pro Kharma, and although he got a little footage of me sailing away from the beach, when the GPS kicked in, it shut the drone down and said we were in a "no fly zone" because we were so close to Eglin Air Force Base.

pilot had some close range between boat and drone. I get nervous getting that close as well as below mast height. Nice range out of that as well, was it a phantom 4?
feel free to check out my video a few posts above if you haven't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYnUwC4gHbQ I used a 3dr solo for mine video, more of a "auto pilot mode" with remote on the cat.
Really like the clean pan at 2:30

Anyone have any first hand knowledge of the town of Lake Isabella? Some friends were there recently, contemplating buying a house in town, but they perceived an acute meth problem. Any confirmation?
I was hoping they'd get excited, it looks like a grand sailing and biking venue.

Drone was a DJI magic pro or one of his home built drones.
DaveFarmer, unfortunately there is a meth problem in the KRV, not that I see it but according to statistics......
The Kern river Valley has around 15000 people and is a great place to live, there is lots of little communities around the lake and area, houses are very reasonably priced, if your friends want to talk about the area they could call me.There is tons to do if you are active and into the outdoors, hiking, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, mountain biking, climbing, rafting, kayaking, boating, did I mention the houses are cheap. Not too much employment around the place, but being retired it does not affect me too much.I look out any window in my house and see 5 to 8 k ft peaks.
Did I mention we a really really good brewery in Kernville!
